We are not a funeral home, but an independent, family-owned business with a tradition of funeral service dating back to 1867. Our plans include everything you need yet they offer a variety of options for personalizing your selection of urns and memorial products.

The Heritage Cremation Society works with nursing homes, financial and estate planners, legal services, social services groups and hospice and medical professionals to offer complete and comprehensive planning for one’s final arrangements. Our families especially appreciate the opportunity to complete their plans in the comfort of their own home or at a location familiar and convenient to them with many of our selections arranged via the mail or through the use of our interactive website. There is no need to visit funeral homes or view casket selection rooms. Our staff can even handle arrangements involving the selection of cemetery lots, mausoleum or niche space. We offer complete cemetery marker and monument design services. It doesn’t matter whether your choice of arrangements are elaborate or very basic, our staff of licensed professionals will guide you through every aspect of the decision process.

With an emphasis on simple, many of our families select arrangements to be held at a church, cemetery chapel, social club, care center, residence or in private at a time and place that is convenient to them. In addition, we offer the use of our affiliated full service funeral home serving the greater Akron and Canton area and the facilities of our licensed partner providers throughout Ohio. For those who wish to meet at one of our offices, we offer the convenience of our Ohio arrangement centers located in Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Cuyahoga Falls and Louisville. In accordance with the Laws and Regulations in the State of Ohio, any arrangements selected that include a service will be contracted to a member of our partner provider network of licensed funeral homes.
